There’s nothing but fond memories of Kappa Alpha Order for Hubert Harris ’62. It was the perfect mixture of fun and brotherly encouragement and support.
Hubert was first drawn to KA by the brothers, the link to Robert E. Lee, and the old southern traditions, but it was friendship and support that made his undergrad years truly memorable.
“We were a group of fun-loving students who wrestled with academics vs. fun,” he recalls. “We studied and helped each other. Almost all of us graduated.”
The first annual KA Alpha Sigma Southern Gentlemen's Golf Classic was held on Sunday, May 7 to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), which funds research and care for kids and adults suffering from muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related diseases that weaken muscle strength and limit mobility.
In this memorable shot from 1980, a jubilant group of KA brothers celebrate a Tech Victory in the east stands.

"I've known Tom Price for about 20 years," McCutchen says. "Knowing him for a long time, he invited us to come to his office in Washington to talk about national health care. It was a pretty exciting time to be up there.”

Greek alumni are up for a challenge, right?
Traditionally, Greek alumni support Roll Call at a rate much higher than the general alumni group. Through our annual Roll Call Greek Challenge, fraternities and sororities compete based on the percentage of alumni who contribute. The more alumni donors, the higher the participation rate.
